Dell Announces New Notebook .. with Faulty Nvidia GPU

Everybody and their little dog now knows that the Geforce M series, especially the 8400/8600 models have been identified as the models being effected due to bad packaging material. Today, Dell has announced a new notebook; Vostro 2510 that still uses the same GPU in its configuration.

The most critical thing about this new notebook is that users are given no choice other than the 8400M GS. HP on the other hand has tackled the situation in a much more appropriate way, they have offered an extra year of warranty on the effected laptops and are currently servicing them for no charge.

I guess it is Dell's way of saying take it or leave it. Would you take it considering you know that the GPU is known to be faulty?

Stumble it!
